Turn your desktop icons into real 3D objects with Real Desktop

Real Desktop has a fascinating new concept. It turns your desktop into 3D. Now, that's not a new concept, you would say. Let me finish. It turns your desktop into a living three-dimensional world with your icons behaving like real objects that you can touch and move as on a real desk, thanks to the powerful physics-engine. It can run on a modest system and uses very less resources.

You can lift your desktop icons and drop them from a height and watch them bounce and tumble. You can rotate the icons, flip them over and move them around the desktop. You have to use this to experience this. Unfortunately, the freeware version has very limited functionality. You can't change the theme, you can't change the wallpaper, you can't change the style. It will get boring after a few hours. Those who can shell out $25.95 can get the standard version with lots of tweaks and options.
