HydraBrowser - The browser with Office 2007's looks

Microsoft invented the ribbon with Office 2007, and another application borrowed it. That application is a browser called HydraBrowser. No matter what people say about Microsoft Office's ribbon, you have to admit, it does look sleek and sexy. And HydraBrowser has got that sleek and sexy look. HydraBrowser is powered by the IE engine but that's the only thing common it has with IE7. In terms of features it is way ahead of IE7.

Let us see some of the features of this brand new browser:

# Tabbed browsing. Well that's standard these days.
# Organize multiple web sites into Presets and open with a single mouse click
# Customizable Power search - define your own search providers and search multiple sites at once - set it and forget it! You can even record your search as a macro, much like in Office programs.
# Customizable ads and popup blocker, as well as phishing filter
# Automated logins - record your logins, protect them with a master password and put them in a preset - open all of your login sites with just one click.
# Support for mouse gestures
# Sidebars for web 2.0 sites, and a bunch of funny gadgets to open in a sidebar and have fun while browsing the Net.
# Form filler - automatically fill forms and profiles
# Bookmarklets that lets you create thumbnails for your favorite sites.
# Limited support for Greasemonkey scripts
# Extract links and images from web pages with a single click of a mouse, or you extract absolutely everything from the page you're looking at and save the files on your disk separately or as an archive. Now this is useful.
# Integrated RSS reader which is customizable. Edit a simple HTML template and enjoy reading news your way
# Full fledged Download manager built right into your browser.
# Listen to your favorite Radio station at the same time you're browsing the web, or simply pick one of the few hundred stations already built into the software

As you can see HydraBrowser comes laden with features. The downside of this is the rather high memory requirement - 512 MB. 512 MB? This is just a browser for God's sake! But well, if you can use Windows Vista and Office 2007, then I guess, you can use this too. After all it has the same kind of look.

Now here is something good. Apart from being a browser, Hydra is a charity project as well. First, for every download of Hydra $0.10 goes to charity. Once Hydra reaches a million downloads, $100,000.00 is donated, and the cycle starts again. Second, 50% of all of the remaining profits will again be donated to charities. Now that's something worthy of a download.
