Automatically monitor 500+ private Bittorrent sites for sign-up openings

One of the most common questions I have seen asked in many Internet forums is "Can anyone send me a Demonoid invitation?". Private Bittorret sites are very popular among torrent downloaders, but they are difficult to get into. These sites open sign-ups for only short durations and these opportunities often come after several months. If you fail to register during the "open season" you have to wait for months for the next sign-up to begin.

It's hard to keep track of all private bittorrent sites, if not impossible. But these two websites will help you to keep track of these torrent sites.

Bittorrent TRackers Automatic Checking System aka BTRACS is an automatic information site which periodically checks closed community bittorrent trackers for being open for signup. Some closed community bittorrent trackers' signups are closed and are "invite only" (meaning, if you have a user, you can invite your friend to join or a friend can invite you).   The main page refreshes every 10 minutes and shows a list of bittorrent private trackers open for signup.

There is a total of 309 private bittorrent trackers in the BTRACS database, of which 92 bittorrent trackers are currently open for signup.

A similar website is TrackerChecker. TrackerChecker currently has 500+ private bittorrent trackers in it's database and 249 of them are open to sign-up, at the time this article was written. One good thing about TrackerChecker, apart from the higher number of trackers tracked, is that it displays the full list of trackers in it's database. So you can check whether or not the private torrent site you are so desperately trying to get into is tracked by them. TrackerChecker also supports sorting of the list by name,  sign-up status or date when the information was last updated. This one should go straight into your bookmarks. (Thanks Raymond)

Looking for a desktop solution? Then try these.

Tracker Checker is nifty little program that automatically checks when private trackers are open for registration. The application is Windows only and requires the .NET 2.0 framework. It will regularly check the signup pages of the trackers you wish to join and notifies you when one of these is open via a desktop pop-up balloon.

The program currently supports 66 private trackers and you can manually add or remove trackers from it.

Open Registrations Checker is another Windows application that monitors some of the most popular private trackers for open registrations and alerts you whenever a tracker you're watching opens its registrations. Torrentfreak has taken the pains to update the database file and completely revamped it with all the newest and hottest private bittorrent sites. Download their updated tracker list. Explanations on how to use it is provided on the site.
