Windows 7 pre-beta leaked and available for download
If you missed the PDC 2008 where Microsoft showcased their upcoming release, the much talked about Windows 7, don't worry because now you can actually try it on your PC. Cnet reports that the pre-beta version of Microsoft's Windows 7 (Build 6801) which was released to the developers at the Professional Developers Conference was leaked and made available for download via torrent websites. Nobody is surprised.
Popular BitTorrent sites like Piratebay is hosting multiple copies of the operating system. However, some users have complained about fake copies being uploaded by pranksters. Make sure you download the genuine copy. With about 1500 seeders and more than 5000 downloaders at the time of writing this, it shouldn't be hard to identify. The size of the download is at around 2.75 GB. Both 32 bit and 64 bit editions are available, but the 32 bit edition is more popular and has more seeders and downloaders than the 64 bit one.
Copyright issues prevents me from linking to the actual torrent file. But you sure know where to find it.
