Read emails on your feed reader with MailOnFeed

Many people prefer to read RSS feeds on email. But there might be some who may want to do the opposite – read emails on feed reader. Sounds perfect for people who spend the entire day on feed readers reading subscription.

MailOnFeed is a service that uses the IMAP protocol to retrieve mails from your account and converts it into a feed which you can read in any feed reader. You need to setup your account on MailOnFeed just the way you do in your email client, and that includes giving your email ID and password. Not too many people are comfortable to give away their login information to some online service, and this might be the biggest reason why this service hasn’t received much popularity despite being more than a year old.

You must take note that the feed URL which you get for your email account does not require any login, so anybody who knows the URL can read your emails. There is no cause for alarm though because MailOnFeed does not make your feeds public unless you want to.

MailOnFeed is a completely free service and supports unlimited accounts. The only drawback is that it does not support the POP3 protocol. So only those email services that support IMAP can be used with it.
