Google introduces a better site translation widget

Google just announced a new site translation widget for website owners. This new widget is better than the old widget on several counts.

Firstly, the old site translation widget was bulky and looked like a scar in the face when placed on a website. The new widget is sleek and will blend well with any site template.

Secondly, the new widget supports 51 languages and allows you to choose which languages you want to include or omit.

Thirdly, the new widget automatically detects the language of your site’s visitors from their browser settings and if it’s found to be different from your site’s language, it offers to translate the website to their local language.

I have been trying to test the new widget this morning. Unfortunately, the service is down at the moment.
