uTorrent 2.1 beta adds video streaming support

BitTorrent clients with video streaming capabilities have been around for a while. Now uTorrent joins in with the release of version 2.1 beta.

In the latest edition of uTorrent you see a new column called Streaming. If you start downloading a video file, after a while the white play icon under “Streaming” will turn green indicating that streaming is available. You can now click on it to launch the DivX web player, which is set as default, to watch it. The video player can be changed to any other player that supports video streaming such as VLC.
