Good news for users stuck with a processor without hardware-level virtualization. Microsoft just announced that a new update to Windows XP Mode enables it run on all processors, irrespective of virtualization support. Although Windows XP Mode will continue to use hardware virtualization technology if available.
When Windows XP Mode was first announced it was an exclusive feature available only to select processors. Now it’s no longer an issue.
The update for Windows XP Mode will be available later today.
