Blogger introduces real time web analytics

Google Analytics is an excellent visitor tracking and web analytics software that many of us use. But the drawback of this otherwise power tool is that it’s almost 24 hours late in providing stats. As such many bloggers are forced to use additional tracking software like Sitemeter or Statcounter.

Today Google added a real-time web analytics to Blogger that is enabled by default to all blogs, except private ones. The new Blogger Stats require no installation or configuration. You can immediately access your blog’s stats by logging into draft.blogger.com and clicking on the Stats link.

The best part about Blogger Stats is that it monitors and analyzes your visitor traffic in near-real-time. The interface is a lot simpler and easier to understand than that of Google Analytics. You can see which posts are getting the most visits and which sites are sending traffic to your blog right now. Traffic data is available across different time periods (day/week/month) and all-time historical data are available as well.

Blogger Stats also tracks other data such as popular search keywords that send visitors to your blog, which country your visitors come from, and which web browsers they are using.

Blogger Stats and Google Analytics use completely different mechanisms to collect data and hence the reports might not be identical, Google warns.

    I reccomend Clicktale as the best usability tool. Its heatmaps, real time videos and aggregate behaviours and analytics are second to none!

    Yeah google analytics provides 24 hour late stats.Thats why i have used Gostats.com Hit counters on many of my sites and blogs and it offers comprehensive and real time tracking.These stats can all be viewed on an hourly, daily, and monthly basis.

    I used many usability tool but I recommend Google Analytics, This is very useful to keep knowledge about who visit my site, by where visit this, by which reason.
