Home: a full length movie released on YouTube. Go watch.

On June 5, which coincides with World Environment Day, a full length documentary movie about Earth’s eco system was released simultaneously on YouTube, movie theatres (in France), DVD and television. The movie called Home is directed by Yann Arthus-Bertrand and produced by Luc Besson, who also produced The Fifth Element, and is narrated by Academy Award nominated actress Glenn Close. This is the first time a movie has made debut at the same time on YouTube and theatres.

HOME is an ode to the planet's beauty and its delicate harmony. Through the landscapes of 54 countries captured from above, Yann Arthus-Bertrand takes us on an unique journey all around the planet, to contemplate it and to understand it. But HOME is more than a documentary with a message, it is a magnificent movie in its own right. Every breathtaking shot shows the Earth - our Earth - as we have never seen it before. Every image shows the Earth's treasures we are destroying and all the wonders we can still preserve.

This 90 minute movie is available in full high definition on YouTube with English, French, Spanish, and German subtitles. At the time of writing this the movie has already seen more than 600,000 views. Embedded below is a trailer of the movie.
