MagicDisc installs virtual drive without rebooting Windows

I hate restarting my computer. It is not because of the time wasted or the interruption; it’s because of inconvenience. With 30 to 40 browser tabs opened, articles half written, a download in progress, and dozens of other things that I’m juggling around, I can’t afford to restart my computer. It’s too much trouble to save every window, session and work and start all over again.

So when I needed a virtual optical drive to try out some ISO image I downloaded, I began looking for one that doesn’t need a computer restart. After trying out a couple of ones, I found what I was looking for. It’s called MagicDisc.

MagicDisc allows creation of up to 15 virtual optical drives which become available immediately after installation. No computer reboot is required. Simply start the application and right click on the tray icon to choose which virtual drive you want to open. Then select the image file you want to mount.

MagicDisc supports large number of image file formats:

BIN, IMA/IMG, CIF, NRG, IMG/CCD, MDF/MDS, VCD, VaporCD, P01/MD1/XA, VC4/000, VDI, C2D, BWI/BWT, CDI, TAO/DAO and PDI.

MagicDisc also comes bundled with extra features like the ability to create ISO image from any physical disk, compress and encrypt ISO files, and decompress UIF images to the ISO format.

So if you don’t like restarting Windows, try MagicDisc. It’s a freeware and installs on all Windows version from Windows 98 to Windows 7.

    add virtual drive with power iso. there are a drop download in system try icon where you can select by number how many virtual drive you need to add.
