EmailTray: Desktop email notification and management

EmailTray is more than just a desktop email notification program. It is a free email manager and prioritizing application, that can monitor multiple email accounts, analyze your email messages and assign a priority ranking to each mail based on your interaction with the sender. It then notifies you of incoming messages based on the priority.

The program sorts all your emails into 4 categories – High priority, Low priority, None and Spam. EmailTray analyzes and ranks your incoming messages by taking into account parameters such as:

• Whether you read or immediately delete emails sent from a particular sender
• Whether you reply to or just read emails from them
• How fast you respond to the emails of a given email sender
• Whether you forward emails received from particular senders
• Whether you have corresponded with the given sender before, etc.

EmailTray automatically decides priority for newsletters, subscription emails, social network updates etc. The user can also easily change the assigned priority for a sender, which will cause the program to re-classify all messages from the same person. Additionally, EmailTray scans your Spam folders for good emails that were incorrectly marked as spam by the spam filters. If it finds a message from a High priority contact in your online spam folder, it will move the message to your inbox.

EmailTray notification can be customized to show alerts for only top priority messages, low priority messages or all messages with different sound alerts for each type. You can even reply to messages directly from the software.

EmailTray supports Webmail (Yahoo! Mail, Gmail, Windows Live Hotmail, AOL), POP3 and IMAP accounts and also Microsoft Outlook 2003/2007/2010, if installed.
